Welcome to the Los Angeles Underwater Photographic Society email list. The list is designed to serve club members and underwater photographers in general by distributing information and promoting discussion about underwater photography. This list will be used for announcement of club meetings, newsletter releases, discussion of underwater photography, and competition announcements. Members can also use the list to announce trips. Subscribers to this list - and only subscribers to this list - are able to send a single email to the email address laups_list@laups.org and that email will be sent on to all subscribers. When your email address changes, you can take care of updating that yourself. Non-members are able to subscribe to the list. Increasing the distribution of club activity is good for the club. Spam and off-topic, inappropriate commercial posts are forbidden. Appropriate commercial posts, particularly press releases of interest to underwater photographers, are welcome. You can manage your subscription at this web page: http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/laups_list If list email sent to you bounces back several times within one week, you will automatically be unsubscribed. If you have any difficulty, or think you've received any spam from the list, please contact webmaster@laups.org You should receive at least two emails from the list each month. One will be a meeting anouncement. One will be automtically generated on the 1st of the month as a subscription reminder. If you are not getting email from the list, 99% of the time the problem is a spam filter in your email system. It's also worth confirming your subscription with the list web page. If you just can't figure your spam filter out, try another address (I can set you up with an laups.org email address or a gmail.com address). I'm happy to help, email me if you need it, but about all I can do to help you troubleshoot is to confirm your address is subscribed (which you can do yourself on the webpage) or by sending a test message (which you can also do from any account which is subscribed). Using LAUPS_list
To post a message to all the list members, send email to laups_list@laups.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to LAUPS_list
Subscribe to LAUPS_list by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
