Those connected with 4kail.org continue to work on getting "nonprofit" status, however this has not yet been achieved. Whereas we lack same, and I am not aware of any contributor whom demands we have subject tax status...so I do not think the "tax status" should be of issue now! I have all the information nessary to forward the check to 4kali.org...I have some concerns about the dispersment of funds from 4kail.org to the "needy" in Thailand and would like to discuss my thoughts with "the group" prior to sending any monies. Please respond to this email or call me at 570-764-2215. although I was out of touch with the group for a bit, I am now more available and wish too resolve Bloomsburg Cares matters as concerning the support funds we have raised and the distribution of same. I know it's been difficult to contact Dr. Stu and I'm glad you were able to talk with him. I agree a meeting to decide on the final funds allocation is needed. I won't be able to attend a meeting this weekend though. I'm visiting my sister in upstate NY. Whatever the group decides re: distribution of funds is fine with me. If you feel that the funds may not get to those in greatest need and want to commit the funds to a different agency, this is fine with me as well. I know there's been a lot of research of different agencies and we have a number of good choices.
