[Bostonphptalk] Extracting and replacing text in tags

I'm going nuts here trying to extract PRE tags, look at their classes, 
and then call geshi.

So you have some html, like <pre class='x'>blah blah</pre>

mixed in with plenty of other html.

I'd like to capture pre tags, its content, and the class name.

Any ideas?
