[casual_games] Negotiation Costs... Lighter Note

It seems that the negotiating cost email chain was quite heated in regard to
legal terms.

One of my partners at Game Trust, Lee Nolan, is our full-time General
Counsel with over 20 years of experience in entertainment licensing and law.
I shared the thread with Lee, and he has nicely volunteered to help any
developer for free with high level questions on licensing legal concepts,
such as IP rights, exclusivity, etc. In addition, Lee is willing to help the
IGDA develop a standard contact, discussed in the message by James
Gwertzman. Ideally, some questions for Lee might be factored into a
standardized contract template for the IGDA.

I would be happy to introduce anyone with legitimate questions to Lee. Just
send me an introductory email to adeo at gametrust.com. Beyond being a seasoned
expert in the space, Lee is an all around great guy, referred to as "Uncle
Lee" around the office.

Our industry is starting to take off because we are doing an excellent job
of helping one another and organizing ourselves. Just look at the amount of
media exposure that casual games have recently received as an indicator.
Starting to standardize legal terms is important for all of us to succeed,
allowing people to focus on key economic terms and durations, rather than
core legal concepts with every agreement.

Rock and roll!
