Cristián,

Before you go down any path on DirectMusic it is worth noting that like
nearly everything but Direct3D it has been deprecated and dropped from the
SDK.

There was a very good presentation on in-game music at one of the casual
games summits last year, perhaps someone on this list knows where the preso
on it is.
