[casual_games] RE: Help with Digitally Distributing Games

Hi,

If any of you guys needs help understanding how to distribute or market your
games digitally or would like me to get your game distributed digitally,
give me a shout.

I recently left Trymedia/Macrovision (the leader in games DRM and the
try-and-buy model for games) as a senior marketing executive to start my own
marketing and bus. dev. business, with an emphasis on the digital
distribution of games, large and small.

My clients are some of the major brands in the business, but I also
represent smaller studios. For example, I have secured placement on the
major portals for a new game called ThwartPoker's All-Skill Poker Tour.
Check it out: http://www.thwartpoker.com/pc

Thanks. I'll likely be at the Casual Games Mingle tonight at Mars Bar (8:30)
if you want to chat. I have red hair.

Regards,

Jason Akel

here's a few good reads. from what I understand, a good conversion rate
of downloads to buyers is 2%.

Hadn't seen that before, thanks for the link.

I found this in their FAQ:

/ Until the commercial license fee of $50,000 is paid, the game owner
receives 20% of net revenues./

20% of net revenue for us providing free content to a startup - I must
be missing something.

Yes, that's funny. Probably they only host games that are developed using
their framework ?
