Well as stated last week.
On beta testing... which is what I consider bug testing like you 
described mentioned.

I simply send out like 100 copies to volunteers no costs involved.

Of course they are not all good testers.

You can make your alphas and betas expire in a set amount of time.

Set up a mailing list and let testers talk to each other might also be useful.
