[casual_games] advice for a startup gamedev studio?

Hey Ryan,
My advice to you is...
Start small. My group spent way too long, attempting to to get a deal to
make the next AAA game. It wasn't realistic, as long as your goals are
reasonable, then your chance of success increases.

One "good" thing about not having any money starting out, is that the only
way for you to fail... is for you to give up. As long as you and your team
are motivated you can accomplish great things.
