Hello Everyone,

As I’m sure most developers are aware Microsoft is currently in the process
of rolling out two new development packages for Windows, Vista and XNA. With
the release of new development platforms, come new questions and new issues
to be addressed by game developers looking to use this software.

The Causal Games SIG has been working with the XNA developers at Microsoft
to help our members get direct answers to some of the questions you might
have about the XNA development software.

We will be publishing a Q&A article with the XNA developers in the Casual
Game winter quarterly. In a bit of a different twist on a standard article,
rather than asking our own questions, we are going to take your questions
straight to the developers and get the answers you need.

Over the next couple of weeks we’ll collect any questions you might have and
send them over to the XNA developers, we’ll get the answers back to you and
publish the most common and useful ones in the next quarterly. The only
request we’ve had from the XNA developers is that you check their FAQ at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/directx/xna/faq/
before posting your questions to make sure it hasn’t already been addressed.

You can post your questions to the casual games message board or send them
to me directly at Robert at tablestargames.com and I’ll get them in front of
the right people. Please include XNA Questions in the subject of your e-mail
and a note if you don’t want your name included with the question if it’s
published.

Let us know if you find this type of opportunity helpful and we’ll try to do
more of them in the future through the SIG.

Thanks,
Rob Carroll
