[casual_games] Gameplay patents

As a slight twist/extension to the patents discussion, how do people feel
about trademarking? Seems that it might be a similar discussion, though the
financial and procedural barriers to entry are far lower for a trademark
than for a patent...I've seen some titles in the casual space displaying
their (tm), but far from the majority.
