[casual_games] Game portals opening games in new windows

I think it totally depends on the site design. Some do in-site, some do
pop-up. Back when I was at Zango and running their games business, we
did in-site on our site and pop-up for our affiliates for flash games.

It seems like casual players do not use popup blockers etc. They are
casual! :)

Most of them, IMHO

I notice game portals such as king.com and shockwave.com launch games in
new
windows and wondered if there is a particular reason for doing this?

Would launching a game like this not be stopped by pop up blockers?

I am creating my games portfolio section of my website and had always
thought it was a bad idea to launch new content like this.

Thanks

Paul
