playence is a provider of smart multimedia knowledge management products. Our mission is to help organizations worldwide reduce the costs associated with managing and integrating its multimedia assets with other corporate data sources, ensuring availability and access across the organization.
General Summary
playence seeks game developer / creative designer to join our engineering team and help us design and implement highly performing and scalable multiplayer casual games. Successful candidates have a proven track record in flash development.
Responsibilities
· Design and develop games in Flash and Action Script to extend and improve on playence's product offering.
· Contribute to the design and development of our front infrastructure.
· Be proactive in solving problems.
Experience/Skills
· Demonstrated experience in developing in Flash.
· Solid knowledge with AS2, AS3 and flex.
· Solid knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and XML.
· Java knowledge is a plus.
· Game development experience is a plus.
· Ability to plan and architect complex Flash-based applications.
· Experience integrating sound and video.
· Ability to produce work in a timely fashion, with a focus on scoping tasks relative to business priorities.
· Familiarity with Semantic Web technology.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. German and/or Spanish are a plus.
· Willingness to relocate to Austria.
Work authorization required (candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the country in which the position is domiciled).
