To all members of CHISIG
As you may know I have represented CHISIG on Standards Australia's 
Committee for Knowledge Management since its formation in 2001.  The 
final version of the Standard is now ready to be accepted by the 
nominating organisations.   THE DEADLINE FOR CASTING THE VOTE IS MONDAY 
JULY 4.   It can be downloaded from the following link:

The final Standard has evolved from the Interim Standard that was 
accepted by myself on behalf of Standards taking into account all the 
feedback received and the changing views on KM since the Interim 
Standard was released.
The CHISIG executive committee has agreed that I follow the same 
proceedure as I did with the Interim KM Standard: ie circulate the 
document and ask for comments.  If there are any serious concerns I will 
take it back to the executive for a decision otherwise I will vote on 
CHISIG's behalf to accept it.  Note that this is not a prescriptive 
Standard. Remember also that this document is the result of long 
consultation with representatives from a very diverse set of 
organisations and in my opinion the committee has done a great job of 
bringing it together.
