Research Associate (Human Factors/Ergonomics)

The School of Safety Science at UNSW in collaboration with industry 
partners is undertaking research on human factors in rail safety and 
reliability.  The project is funded through the ARC Linkage Project 
scheme with the following industry partners:  Railcorp (NSW), the 
Independent Transport Safety and Reliability Regulator (NSW), and the 
Department of Infrastructure (Victoria).

The appointee's duties will include: human factors/ergonomics 
research on the topic of rail safety and reliability as per ARC 
LP0667799; support for the research of the chief investigators and 
linkage partners; development and execution of research plans and 
experimental protocols in collaboration with investigators; 
collection and analysis of appropriate research data in the field of 
human factors/ergonomics; contribution to project management under 
the supervision of the project director; contribution to scholarship 
within the School, including support for APAI students, teaching and 
learning; and, preparation and/or assistance in the preparation of 
research reports and publications.

The salary range is A$59,342 - A$63,473 per year depending on 
qualifications and experience.

This is a fixed-term appointment for two years with a possible 
extension for one year depending on the availability of funding.
