[chisigmail] [VIC] New Victorian Representative

Hello everyone,

First of all, happy new year! I hope 2007 is a great year for you all
and our industry. Following on from 2006, we hope to provide a diverse,
informative, and entertaining range of activities for our VIC members
(and anyone travelling interstate).

It is with great pleasure that I can now announce that Chris Khalil will
be taking over the post of Victorian Representative for 2007.  Chris works
for Acumentum (http://www.acumentum.com)  as a Senior Interaction Designer, you can find out more about him at http://www.chriskhalil.com/

Chris is a strong advocate of user experience, usability and process (notably
Agile) engineering practices in industry. Chris' background in academia
(multimedia and software agent architectures) will also help to ensure a
suitable blend of the "two worlds" that exist within our community.

I have recently accepted the post of CHISIG national secretary, and am
looking forward to addressing the various challenges and opportunities
facing CHISIG. I would like to thank all of those individuals who have
either attended or assisted in the running of numerous VIC activities
over the past 18 months. Without their support, far less would have been
accomplished.

Our next VIC CHISIG activity is planned for February. Chris will provide
further details in the coming week(s). Please make him feel welcome.
