[chisigmail] New CHISIG Vic Rep

I regret to advise that I must resign from my role as the CHISIG Vic rep.  I have taken a position with News Digital Media in Sydney, starting in a couple of weeks.  

Patrizia Bordignon is taking over the reigns for the CHISIG Vic Rep role for the remainder of this year.  Many of you will already know Patrizia from her previous roles in CHISIG as the Vic Rep and the Simplicity newsletter editor.

For those that don't know, Patrizia runs her own company Design for U & I and has worked as a usability and interaction design consultant since 1999.  She has worked for many well-known Australian brands such as the AFL, ACMI, Bureau of Meteorology, Coles Myer, Yellow Pages, Trading Post, and Telstra to name a few.

Patrizia is keen to pick up the reigns for social reasons. The best part of events she witnessed as a Vic Rep was the social banter prior to and after presentations.  So Patrizia is keen to organise some casual social get-togethers and, of course, an end-of-year Christmas function.  And if there is time in between for some presentations, all the better.  

Patrizia would love your input so please drop her an email (designui at bigpond.net.au), with your favourite places to meet for drinks and dinners and if you would like to play host for an event or have an idea for an event. World Usability Day is one event that is up for grabs.  This year's WUD event is on Thursday 8th November.   

We only have five months left till the end of the year so please embrace this opportunity to make the rest of 2007 a social one.
