Recent success and expansion has created an opportunity for an  
experienced and passionate, senior user interface designer to join our  
market-leading, local government business.

Reporting directly to the Technical Architect, this is a pivotal and  
exciting senior role within our business. You will have the  
opportunity to play an instrumental role in the ongoing development  
and design of user interfaces for our enterprise business applications.

You will design user interfaces based upon your usability and human  
interface expertise and the set design standards. You will be highly  
pro-active and passionate about user interface design and you will  
enjoy taking a leadership role. You will be required to work closely  
with the development team, mentor and transferring your skills,  
passion and knowledge across the team.

To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate a high level  
of capability across the following areas:
- Proven knowledge in usability design and principles
- Conceptual and technical knowledge of design principles, web  
standards, compatibility and accessibility issues
- Knowledge and experience in qualitative and quantitative research  
analysis and evaluation methods
- Strong knowledge of  CSS, XHTML, Java script and current online  
media standards
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively

We anticipate the successful candidate will have:
- Formal qualifications in Web Design and Digital Media
- 3-5 years user interface experience within a commercial environment
- Academic qualifications in Human Factors or Human Computer  
Interaction will be highly regarded
