You have already seen the message Sandrine circulated on CHISIG mailing
list. I have also received this, which is another way to contribute. 

We also welcome ideas as to how CHISIG and its constituency could show support to people who have been affected by the recent bushfires or flood.

**Subject:** Please contribute to the computer industry's response to
the bush fires

You can make a very real difference to the families who lost their homes
and consequently have no computer to do all those things we do online
and take for granted.

The Australian Information Industry Association has created a
partnership with Infoxchange Australia, who has more than a decades
experience delivering PC to those in need, to enable you to:

1. donate laptops and PC this week to be distributed through the 12 DHS
Relief Centres across the State next Saturday (we need 200 new or
reasonably current)

2. donate money (we need $40,000 to sustain this programme for 6 months).

3. register to volunteer to assist one or two families to get their
computer working and connected to the internet.
