Many of you will know Alinta from her work as a UX consultant, including her
time at The Hiser Group in Sydney.

 

Some of you will know that she has battled cancer over many years.

 

Alinta died during the early hours of last Tuesday's dawn.  But that is not
to say she lost her battle, and with such a wordsmith as Alinta, it's
important to describe things accurately.  Throughout a very difficult time,
she kept her grace and spirit strong, while retaining the ability to "spend
the evening wailing" when things got tough.

 

If you have access to her Facebook page, you'll see the tributes arriving -
with "mentor" a notable description from UX people and her past music
students.

 

If you want to celebrate Alinta's life, you can:

 

*	Contribute to flowers and/or a charitable donation in Alinta's name 
- by contacting Mike Floyd at mikef at hiser.com.au


*	Attend her funeral 11:30am tomorrow (Friday) 
at West Chapel, Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park & Crematorium 
(43-61 Military Road, Matraville)


*	Listen to Mahler's 1st Symphony 
(preferably played by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, whom she had hoped
to hear this week in Sydney

 

With respect to this last suggestion, Alinta wrote last week that "if you
haven't heard that before make sure you do.. so full of happiness and joy!"

We shall not see Alinta's like again.
