[chisigmail] ACT CHISIG Chapter: looking for local knowledge for OZCHI 2011

Hello fellow ACT CHISIG people,

I am preparing a detailed proposal for holding OZCHI 2011 in Canberra, at the ANU.  I am looking for local knowledge to suggest venues/caterers for the welcome reception, conference dinner, lunches, morning/afternoon teas and to suggest social and cultural activities that attendees might like to know about.  ANU Computer Science is offering to sponsor the conference in terms of access to university lecture and meeting rooms.

Also looking for locals to be involved in planning and running the conference.

And, if people from outside the ACT are also reading this and would like to be involved I would be glad to hear from you.

I will be at OZCHI 2010 next week so I may meet some of you there.  Otherwise I will be reading email (duncan.stevenson at anu.edu.au) and watching for phone messages 0419 140 209 and look forward to catching up with you in December for a busy month of planning.
