Well, I have a long-term solution in mind. Most of the
academia-friendly folks in the industry are new to this whole thing,
and are in the generation of game developers that started working in
the industry in the last five or so years. This is because a lot of us
did some amount of game studies type of work in college, so it's
natural for us to want to connect back to that community.
Keep in touch with your own students, as you shepherd some of them
into the industry. In time, they'll be in a position to give back.
