A bit offtopic, but since there recently was a conversation concerning YouTube and [CC], I'd wanted to let you know I just learned about YouTube Remixer:

http://www.youtube.com/ytremixer_about

This service will allow you to add open/burned captions to your you YouTube movies. Maybe not ideal, also in practice, but certainly a step forward.
