If I got a card, I've lost it since). I just checked out the site in order to download the game, though, and the only option I see for downloading is to download the game with the Pizza Box for $15+. You mentioned in the announcement email that the game could be purchased separately for less; is this true? If so, is there a direct link to that page? I'll still buy the package if I have to, but I would prefer to buy the individual game. Also, this will be my first download from your company so I don't have any of the preexisting game engines on my system; is this why I need to download the $15 package? Thanks! These PizzaGames include: * Here Comes the Duck! Learn your animals. Possibly the only game playable by blind 2-year olds. * The Letters Game, The Spelling Game, The Dictionary Game. Learn your ABCs. * The Numbers Game, Numbers Plus, Numbers Minus. Learn your numbers, addition, and subtraction. All games are playable by children who are blind, or deaf, or motion impaired, as well as those who are non-impaired. All games self-voice and work with JAWS All games are captioned All games work with Windows 98, XP, and Vista All games work with Macintosh OS X The games cost $7 each, or less in our BabyBear and MamaBear packs. They are available via electronic download or on CD. See these games at www.7128.com. That being said, I want to offer personal thanks to Reid for the on-point info he sent me on captioning. His help is directly displayed in the caption bar we have at the bottom of all our PizzaGames. And in the work we did to get reasonable text representations of the sounds. It ain't perfect; we've got a lot to learn; but it's a beginning. It is a free hand-out, sponsored by Pin Interactive and the IGDA. Content: - May be e.g games, videos, articles or other stuff - as long as it is about GA. - You need to confirm you own the copyright and the right to distribute it freely. To upload: please send me an e-mail and I'll send you the details for uploading. Deadline: We usually close the upload about a month before GDC, to be able to do the DVD writing etc. Kind regards Thomas From jbannick at 7128.com Sat Dec 6 17:37:18 2008 From: jbannick at 7128.com (John Bannick) Date: Sat, 6 Dec 2008 17:37:18 -0500 (EST) Subject: [games_access] GDC 2009 DVD: Second Call for Uploads! To be concrete, I'll need to get info from GDC about prices for different things, and specifically what do we want to do at GDC. One of the things I have in mind is to ask Adobe to have our stuff in their expo booth, and to have them sponsor GA-SIG flyers in the GDC bag. Anyone have ideas? So to be extra safe, I grabbed onto the strap that is supposed to help you further...which broke. And boom...there I was with a broken leg. Message-ID: <1203.76.119.138.66.1229799805.squirrel@webmail.enigami.com> Thomas, Just uploaded to your site the file 7128-gdc2009.zip. The Zip file is just to make things easier for us both. Please unzip it to get our contribution to the DVD. The files are: 1. An html page 2. Accompanying image file 3. Four Flash files that demo four of our accessible games The html page describes the accessibility features in the games and mentions the Top-25 Web Sites for Gamers who are Blind and the ALERT project we have at our site. Please let me know if you got this and it is ok for the DVD. Thanks for the opportunity to show our accessible stuff.
