Hi Sandra,
I think what you mean is the reverse thing, also called alternate world
syndrome, which means that your brain sees that you are moving while you
balance organ tells you are sitting still. Just like with motion sickness
(which is the opposite scenario where you move e.g. while being inside on a
boat in rough weather and don't see the horizon for reference) the brain
can't get it and you feel sick.
I don't have research reports to refer to but there are a number of books
talking about it, e.g. Heim in Virtual Realism. See more:
