There's some interesting people running for the IGDA Board of Directors, including some good people recommending direct support for the SIGs. Recommend people join up and vote! Could make a big difference...

IGDA Board of Directors Elections 2011
Dear Barrie,
It is time to vote in this year's Board of Directors Election (your voting link is below). As a member of the IGDA you are charged with electing the organization's leadership. There are 5 open seats available on the IGDA Board of Directors this year and they will serve for three years.
a.. Voting has begun and will run until March 18th, 2011 11:59 PM PST.
b.. You are allowed to cast your ballot once, at which time you may vote for as many or as few of the candidates as you would like.
