Why no dupe checking? Nowadays, it seems that many DXpeditions are 
discouraging duplicate contacts on a band, with the objective of giving 
as many different stations as possible a chance to get in the log. When 
so many current DXpeditions are posting online logs while the 
DXpedition is still in process, the need for "insurance" contacts seems 
much less and they are right to discourage the practice.

By all means provide dupe checking in the software; a DXpeditioner can 
disregard it if he desires.
