Hi all,
We're producing right now also a game for a TV channel, and they did the
same question. In our case we work in revenue sharing model because we like
to participate in the success of the project and we want to keep the
intellectual property for the game.
But for your case, you should charge for extra handsets family even more if
you don't participate in a revenue share model. Also take care about the
infrastructure, operator has SMSGateways and all they need to charge to
final users, I suppose the TV channel doesn't have all that network
elements.

Hi fellows, I really need your advice!
So far we have developed 2 games and sold them to a local operator.
Yesterday a representative from a local TV channel is asking us about our
"regular" price for making games.
So the question is: What would you charge for a game in this conditions ?
- we provide the art, based in the TV channel own productions.
- we also do all the coding
- game should work in the broad base of basic phones: nokia series 40, sony
ericsson, motorola, siemens.
- game is a platformer with online scoring (basically the same we did in
last game).
- they retain all the intellectual property for the game (it's a
work-for-hire development)
Please advice me, I really have no idea!
Last games we did where available for Nokia s40 and siemens. Should we
charge a lot more for every new handsets family?
Thanks !
Alejandro Woywood.
