I think you may have mis-interpreted my post. I was not responding to
the spam issue. I was trying to get the discussion going in a more
productive mobile-game-centric direction. My questions were sincere, not
meant to provoke a defensive demeanor, or cause anyone to have to prove
anything. Sheesh, lighten up!
It is kind of strange that the most activity on this list has seemed to
center around something other than mobile game development.
I joined this list in hopes of learning. As you probably are aware,
documentation from handset manufacturers while getting better is still a
bit lacking. Especially regarding audio capabilities which is something
I am involved with. We made some decent headway at GDC talking to
engineers at Qualcomm and folks from Motorola and Nokia. But my
experience is that developers know precious little when it comes to the
audio capabilities of the handsets they're developing on (especially the
older ones). I joined the list in hopes of benefiting from "in the
trenches" experiences that we all could share.
