Gary,

Thanks for your excellent report. I look forward to the rest of the series.
I'm curious about the comment of 35% of broadcasters and 80% of cable
operators already have installed CAP equipment.

In the cable industry, we are basically down to two cable-specific EAS
vendors. One is telling me they are accepting orders but not shipping until
they pass FEMA conformance testing. I am not aware of any product that has
officially past yet; I haven't seen a list of conforming products.

In discussions with some of the larger cable operators, I have yet to hear
any claims that they are ready. I think everyone is waiting for the
results of FEMA testing. I do not see how the percentage of
EAS participants ready for CAP can be anywhere near as high as stated.

Just my 2 cents.
