[Techtoolslist] Willem Eprom Programmer

So, here is more information.

1) Doing a blank check with nothing in the socket still gives me "Device is
NOT Empty ($000000) - go figure

2) I'm using the cables that came with the programmer. When I do a self
test I get "Hardware Present" - hmm ok.

3) I've tried setting my laptop LPT1 port to Bi-Directional, EPP, ECP.

The manual says it's supposed to be ECP.

The programmer isn't complaining about anything. Maybe I should try another
computer?

Pay attention on the cable... I don't remember the exact cable
specification, you can check on Willem's website.

I bought one cable from him and my programmer is working just fine.

What kind of printer port does it want? I take it it would want a
bidirectional port (not the old style printer port), but does it specify
something like "ECP" or "EPP"? If so, did you go into your computer's
BIOS setup and make sure your port was defined that way?
