The service disk writes the machine configuration into an EEPROM on the motherboard.

I think your options are to swap the floppy with the type you configured the machine to use, or to pull the EEPROM and program a corrected configuration onto it.

I believe the service disk shows you the current configuration value on that and the HDD configuration.  I always leave it to whatever it's set to.
