[Techtoolslist] Fluke on Mario Bros.

Are there any dips or jumpers that might be triggering the code to reset them each boot?

Further to this, removing all the CMOS battery circuitry and /CS and
simply installing a NVRAM and jumping the /CS and Vcc did not change the
results. It still won't store the High Score or Free Play settings. It
adjusts them on screen, but cycle the power and Free Play and/or High
Scores go away.

Was there a software version for Mario Bros which did not allow for
battery backup memory? That is able all i can think of as the Fluke does
a proper read/write to the memory location just fine (6800h to 6FFFh).
Fortunately the customer doesn't care so I am not going to sink any more
time into this problem - for now.

However if someone has a bright idea I am more than willing to listen as
it annoys me. It may have something to do with the Z80 DMA controller, I
know nothing about them...

Thanks,
