Unless you need the physical backplane, I have been using DOSBOX for quite
some time and was able to shed all but one of my XP machines and it's just
on the shelf "in case". The computers I'm running in my lab are WIN7 and
have a serial port. I've run DOSBOX with PROMlink for my Data I/O 29B over
serial with no issues for a few years now.

Well it finally happened, my old WinXp machine passed away. I used it for my
9010a and older eprom burners.

Do you guys still build old Dos boxes to run this hardware that needs old
DB9 DB25 serial i/o etc.

Or are you building some fancy new systems?

Kevin
