[Town Meeting] 2010 Report of the Arlington Public Schools

Dear Colleagues,

Please find attached the 2010 report of the Arlington School Department.
 This report represents a cooperative effort by school administration and
the School Committee, with the assistance of many dedicated staff members
and representatives of the greater Arlington community.

It includes supporting information pertaining to the Fiscal Year 2011 school
budget, programmatic and curriculum initiatives, and achievements of our
talented public school students, teachers and other staff.  Additionally,
you will find analysis which was utilized by the School Committee in
reaching our determination to permanently surplus the Crosby and Parmenter
schools.

Hard copies of this report will be available at Town Meeting on Monday
evening.  Additional detail -- including line item breakdowns of the School
Committee's approved budget and feedback from our community survey -- can be
found at http://www.arlington.k12.ma.us/administration/budget/.
