Attention of : Any prospective, new and not-so-new Town Meeting Members

Introduction to Town Meeting.

The Diversity and Governance Task Groups of Vision 2020, League of Women
Voters of Arlington, and Arlington's Town Meeting Procedures Committee are
pleased to present, “An Introduction to the Ways of Town Meeting: Finding
Your Way as a Town Meeting Member.”

The event will be held on February 16, 2011 beginning at 7:00 PM in the
Selectmen’s Hearing Room, 2nd floor, Arlington Town Hall.

Chaired by Town Moderator John Leone, the program will open with a DVD on
Town Meeting in Massachusetts put together by the Town Moderator's
Association.

Information about running as a write-in candidate, how to learn about the
warrant articles to prepare for Town Meeting, and what to expect at Town
Meeting when it starts are among the topics to be discussed.  A question and
answer session will conclude the program.
