COMPOSER'S VOICE CONCERT - GUITAR CONCERT

June 27, 2010 (NEW YORK, NEW YORK) Vox Novus in collaboration with the
Remarkable Theater Brigade and Jan Hus Church is proud to present their
monthly chamber concert series Sunday, June 27th at 1:00. Junes concert is a
special GUITAR CONCERT featuring new music composed for the guitar by
composers Gene Pritsker. Joe Pehrson, Douglas DaSilva, David Hahn, Sean
Varah, and Roger Blanc and performances by: Greg Baker, guitar; Dan Barret,
cello; Daniel Forero, guitar; Kenji Haba, guitar; Laura Mitchell, soprano;
Kurt Toriello, guitar; Kai Watanabe, guitar.

The New York Times described composer, rapper, guitarist Gene Pritsker as
"...audacious...multitalented." The New Music Connoisseur, described
Pritsker as "dissolv[ing] the artificial boundaries between high brow, low
brow, classical, popular musics and elevates the idea that if it's done well
it is great music, regardless of the style or genre."

Guitarist Greg Baker is a member of Sound Liberation an eccentric
rock/hip-hop /classical/jazz/ world-music/techtronic influenced band. He
won Artists' International's Young Artist Auditions Chamber Music Award in
1994 after studying with Brazilian guitar master Carlos Barbosa-Lima.

Guitarist/composer/arranger, Roger Blanc has worked with television (Tonight
Show, Saturday Night Live, David Letterman), film (Frida, Untouchables, Wag
The Dog, Fargo), recording with such notables as Barbra Streisand, Yoko Ono,
Michael Jackson, Paul Simon, and Bruce Springsteen.

Brazilian-American guitarist/composer Douglas DaSilva's compositions have
been described as "very individual, and to us has a very clear personality"
in Classical Guitar Magazine.

Columbian guitarist Daniel Forero is the recipient of the full scholarship
Young Talents (2008-2010) granted by the Bank of the Republic of Colombia
for postgraduate studies abroad.

The Eastern and Western cultural experiences influenced the musical
perception and direction of Japanese guitarist Kenji Haba. Haba has
performed throughout the United States and Japan.

Composer David Hahn's music has been performed throughout the United States,
and internationally in Canada, Chile, Turkey, Croatia, Cuba, France,
Germany, Cyprus and Bolivia. It has been released on Centaur Records and is
regularly broadcast on independent radio programs.

Composer's Voice Concert Series is an opportunity for contemporary composers
to express their musical aesthetic and personal "voice" created in their
compositions. Started in 2001, the "Composer's Voice" concert series is
presenting its 49th concert Sunday June 27th.
