Actually, a lot of retailers offer retroactive price protection for a
limited time. I got some money back from Best Buy when the price of a
Nintendo DS that I bought there dropped after a couple of weeks.

I'd love to see a summary of that customer service script. Did it try
to calm them or did it offer money back in some form?
I'm torn on this issue. On the one hand, I don't see people getting
money back when a AAA title drops 20 bucks or is sold for 5 bucks less
at *mart. On the other hand, I know how I feel when I buy a shiny new
doodad and its price changes a few days later.
