Hi George,
The company is www.3rdsense.com. They run several online tournament sites. They have put my games on www.playaholics.com and www.chickstop.com.
Cheers,
Brent.

Subject: [casual_games] revenue models
Good morning,
I thought it would be interesting to open a thread on revenue models for web-based games. It seems to me that the most common revenue method is via online advertising. This is how I generate revenue on my site. As a developer, I also license games to other sites, and they in turn generate revenue from advertising.
One of the sites I work with generates revenue through tournaments. Players pay to enter the tournament and compete for prizes--highest score wins. On the surface it would seem that the market for this would be limited to players with credit cards. However, the company I deal with have overcome this by allowing players to pay through a reverse charge SMS text message. I think this is a promising way to generate revenue.
I'm wondering what other forms of revenue generation people have encountered.
Cheers,
Brent Silby.
