[casual_games] Is anyone using .NET 2.0?

Hi, joined the list recently.

I'm about to complete a shift from Director to C# - I'm in the middle of one
large production and another is set to start early next year. The current
one is made in VS2005/.NET2.0, but I'm not doing much actual programming as
my role is more of tech lead and system designer. Well, also because VS beta
2 fails to install properly on both my machines...

Here's another C# project, a game development kit I'm working on (still .NET
1.1):

I've just submitted a new version, should be through approval in a few days.

I've used both C++ and VB for writing production tools in the past, and I
never felt even slightly comfortable with them compared to how merrily me
and C# go along. True, I haven't used the .NET implementations of C++/VB,
but C# is just so right in so many ways (for me*) I can't imagine switching
to any of those mouldy (IMHO*) languages.
I may have a look at more modern languages like Boo, though.

* no intention of firing off the C# vs VB flamewar

With the release of Visual Studio 2005 (and the 2.0 .NET Framework) just
around the corner, I'm wondering if anyone on this list is using .NET in
general and 2.0 in particular. If so, are you developing in C#, Managed C++
or VB.NET?

We've been using 2.0 on our casual RPG ever since the first beta of VS2005
was available.

Thanks,

Chris Williams
