[casual_games] more cloning debate

The underlying thinking around exclusive content is generally that it
will boost sales of the hardware, not the exclusive software in
question. MS hopes that some people will become Live customers for the
sole purpose of buying Geometry Wars, and I daresay many have.

A bit off-topic, but I don't understand that thinking on MS's part at
all.
Versions of GW on other platforms would HELP sales of GW on XBLA, not
hurt.
That's why games like Zuma and AstroPop are doing well on XBLA -- so
many
players are already familiar with them from the PC and know they'll be
getting a fun, familiar experience.
And Juan, great post. You beat me to the punch.
