New Play Media seeks an experienced Producer to work on several of its
online casual games.
COMPANY:
New Play Media was founded in 2005 and publishes casual games for
broadband, mobile and DVD platforms. New Play is the leader in a new
genre of games: branded casual gaming. New Play builds licensed,
branded games based on major film franchises, television shows,
magazine titles and childrens properties. New Play games rely on a
core trivia engine to serve video clips, audio clips and images,
complimenting game play with live action and adventure elements.
ROLE:
§ Primary point of contact for New Plays Publishing / Licensing team.
§ Primary point of contact for New Plays Development team.
§ Secondary point of contact for Content Partner / Licensor.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
§ Responsible for understanding the complete process of developing an
online game including
concept design, art design, coding & development, play testing, Q/A and
deployment.
§ Manage & coordinate resources through the company to ensure successful
completion of the product from start to finish.
§ Lead game concept research and development.
§ Gather and communicate business requirements to Development team.
§ Gather and deliver design requirements to Development team.
§ Work with content providers to gather and deliver multi-media to
Development team.
§ Lead editorial development for each game, including creation of
editorial or identifying/managing resources to develop game content.
§ Work with design, development and deployment teams to define and
create schedules and
milestone deliverables for project.
§ Coordinate with staff and task interdependencies to ensure timely and
accurate deliveries.
§ Facilitate and drive team communication.
§ Interact with Publishers marketing and distribution efforts to ensure
effective distribution and
promotion of the product.
LONG TERM RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Hire and manage Associate Producers and Production Coordinators.
REQUIREMENTS:
§ Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience.
§ Minimum of 4 years experience as a Producer with previous game
credits.
§ Experience with consumer software product, web site, or web-based
service.
§ Extremely organized & detail oriented.
§ Excellent verbal & written communication skills, good team player &
motivator.
§ Ability to create, track and maintain comprehensive large-scale
project schedules on aggressive
timelines
§ Proactive in identifying inefficiencies in production pipeline and
proposing sensible solutions.
§ Expert knowledge of hardware and software game industry trends.
§ Expert in MS Office and Project.
§ Genuinely enjoy playing games.
PLUSES:

§ Familiarity or experience with Flash development.
