Ulrich -

This is an interesting topic... but you need to watch the data. In particular, an awful lot of the "research" is US only and may reflect some specific environmental and cultural characteristics of that market.

A Postulate: Women (particularly in the US) are more involved in casual games, both mobile and PC, because they have the time and control of those platforms. At home, (I postulate) women do not have "control" of the TV & console and, thus, do not have the freedom to use those tools for their entertainment. And, at least in the US, I would guess that women are more likely than men to be passengers when travelling (either via public transit or car), and thus have the time available to play casual games.

So, do women play casual games because of their available environment for play? or because of who they are?

Good luck, and keep us informed!

Steve
