Meeting Notes: 1/23/2012

Present: Dave Rohrl, Joel Johnson

   - New Chair/Officers
      - Alfredo and Joel are the nominating committee.
      - We are trying to put a kickoff meeting together this week.
      - Goal is to elect new leadership by GDC (March 7, 2012)
   - Migration to Facebook/LinkedIn/Google Group
      - Feedback on the list was roughly equally divided
      - Joel will construct a Google survey to get a more precise sense of
      the group's sentiment
      - Goal is to migrate by GDC
   - Podcast
      - Initiative has been dormant
      - Dave will try to round up new interview subjects at Casual Connect
      Europe and GDC
      - Community volunteers for interviewer, interviewee, production help
      are all welcome
      - Question of the "Week"
      - Initiative has been spotty
      - Dave will try to revive
      - Community submissions for questions welcome
   - White Paper
      - Juan Gril expressed interest in reviving
      - Dave owes old doc files.  Will send in the next couple of weeks
      - Future versions will likely live online as Google docs or similar
   - India White Paper
      - Released and well-received at Nasscom conference (in India)
      - There is a spot available for presentation at Casual Connect
      Singapore (May 2012) if the authors desire
   - Local Meet-Ups
      - No update

Next Steering Committee meeting is schedule for February 27.
