My vision is that I could have 8 of them plugged into all the EPROM sockets on a board like this..  😊  Then I can live debug!

We had something very similar at my company in the 90s, it was a bit smaller black grey potted block with an rs232 cable sticking out.



Compared with the Dataman S3 and S4 we had, it was just as fast to use for emulation and much cheaper.



I'd probably buy one if they were available again at the right price, but I don't have the capacity/capability to help create one unfortunately.
