[casual_games] Custom browser plugin

I've been told many times that going for a custom browser plugin (like
raptisoft or PopCap does) is just stupid - users are supposed to be
extremely cautious about installing 3rd party software for their browser.
I'm not so sure.

You who rely on a non-standard plugin - what are your experiences? Have you
had second thoughts about choosing that path?
