This is a bit of a religious argument, but I'd argue that if a customer
has to use a search engine, it's because someone, somewhere, has failed
to provide them with the information they are looking for in an easily
digestible form. If a search engine is the primary portal for a
selection of content, it sounds like an opportunity to package/present
for an audience in a way they like (which might mean specialized niche
content, or less content, or whatever).
