James,
The churn rate in the top-10 list could be directly attributable to
increased rotation of the 'featured games' promotional inventory. The titles
at the top of a portal's home page are going to attract the most clicks and
(assuming constant conversion) deliver the most sales.
Are you tracking the frequency of rotation of that inventory for Real as
this might directly affect the churn of the top-10 list. Another factor to
look at is catalog growth as increased velocity of incoming titles would
suggest either increasing promotional slots or rotating them more
frequently.
