[casual_games] RE: Casual Games Quarterly: New Issue Available!

There is now a new and improved version of the Casual Games Quarterly online
at http://www.igda.org/casual/quarterly/2_1

The problem of some articles being truncated has been resolved. There is now
also a link in the side navigation to a PDF version of the Quarterly.

Thanks to list members Matt Kelly and Dan Brady who helped figure out the
CSS issue, and to Paolo Garcia and Kenton White who took it upon themselves
to (independently) create PDF versions of the Quarterly.

Also, a reminder that we are looking for article ideas and submissions for
the Winter issue. Perhaps you're a developer who wants to write a
post-mortem on your latest release? Perhaps you have a rant about the
industry and need a soapbox? Perhaps you'd like to suggest the next
"Question of the Quarter"? Maybe you've been gathering some interesting data
and would like to share those with your peers (thank you James Smith!)?

One of the key ideas behind the IGDA and the Casual Games SIG is to share
information and learn from one another's successes (and failures). The
Quarterly is one outlet where that can happen and I would encourage you all
to step up and contribute.

Cheers,

Wade

Yes, it seems there is something strange going on with the CSS. I'm trying
to get to the root of the problem now. In the meantime, if you refresh those
pages that are cut off, they will usually right themselves.

Cheers!

I noticed that Andrew's fantastic postmortem is truncated. It stops shorts
during "The Evolution of Jill". Anyone else notice this?

Great to see the CGQ is back! Really interesting content this issue.

It is my great pleasure to announce the publication of the latest Casual
Games Quarterly. This volunteer-produced publication is back after a
multi-quarter hiatus, and this is our most content-packed issue yet.

Of course, this list is the perfect place to discuss the content of the
Quarterly, so I look forward to the back-and-forth.

Cheers!

Wade
