[casual_games] Casual games on MacOS

I agree, as we watch the level of production increase and the increased
investment go up developers and publishers both need to explore new revenue
models and am happy to see that ad revenue looks to test well. Having worked
on both sides of development, publishing and even an advertising internet
company I have seen the benefits of each and to see them converge is great
for developers IF they get a % of that new revenue. Major portals (to my
understanding) are not sharing that revenue so it is of little benefit to
developers only padding the bottom line of the publishers/distributors.

I agree heartily. If you can get 5-10% more revenue out of your game free
or cheap, you should certainly do so. It's only if you have to spend
significant time and money to get that extra revenue that you need to look
at it seriously.

Putting aside the size of the audience, isn't it relatively easy to include
Mac users when your game is in Flash and simply loads up in the browser?
If
you can accomodate Mac users with little to no extra effort or added
expense, why ignore them?
