Like I said in previous, it will always fail at that point if the IB
isn't connected.  Best that he didn't try and connect it though as if
you plug the two connectors in the wrong way round you can damage the
HSB.   Classic design brainfart as they're not keyed in any way to
prevent incorrect insertion:-(
